  • 🏈 (NFL) Colts QB Anthony Richardson. The former Gator was re-inserted into Indy’s starting lineup on Sunday, and Richardson responded with over 300 total yards and 3 touchdowns. His Colts sit at 5-6 — just two games back from the Texans for first place in the AFC South. It’s been a tumultuous season for Richardson and the Colts so far, but with the Jaguars (2-9) and Titans (2-8) out of the race, Indianapolis has a shot at its first playoff appearance since 2020. -Gus Logue

  • 🏈 (CFB) Florida Gators. I didn’t think Florida would find themselves back in the trending up section this season, but the Gators are undeniably hot. Following an electric 27-16 win over LSU in the Swamp on Saturday, the Gators have rattled off three massive commitment flips in the 2025 class, including getting 4-Star Mandarin QB Tramell Jones Jr. to de-commit from Florida State and come to Gainesville. Not only that, but they are trending up for the two best seniors in North Florida: 5-Star Mandarin WR Jaime Ffrench Jr. and 5-Star Raines OT Solomon Thomas. -Trent Osborne

  • 🏀 Magic F Franz Wagner. People were closing the door on Orlando’s playoff chances after Paolo Banchero’s injury, but Wagner wasn’t having that at all. He’s playing at an All-Star level, averaging 29.0 PPG, 6.0 RPG and 6.3 APG during the team’s six game winning streak. Following Orlando’s win against Phoenix, Wagner is the first Magic player since Tracy McGrady (2003) to record back-to-back wins with 30+ points, 5+ boards & 5+ assists. The team does miss Banchero and his productivity. However, if one person benefited from it… it’s certainly Franz. -RJ Saunders

  • ⚾️ Free agent LHP Max Fried. Fried rejected the Braves' $21.05 million qualifying offer on Tuesday. He could still re-sign, but the longtime Atlanta lefty will command big dollars now as an unrestricted free agent. Fried, who will turn 31 in January, is projected to earn an annual salary of $25-$30 million on the open market. -Andrew Gibson

  • 🏈 (NFL) Jaguars owner Shad Khan. There was a general assumption that changes would be made in Jacksonville following its embarrassing blowout loss in Detroit, but despite his yacht being anchored in the St. Johns River (suggesting that serious conversations are being had), Khan has yet to take action. Yes, he’s known as being a patient owner with a small circle, so it shouldn’t be surprising — but it is disappointing that Khan hasn’t even addressed the fans, let alone made some firings, after publicly calling the 2024 Jaguars the best team in franchise history during the summer. Now they’re on pace to be the first team ever to pick first overall three times in five years. -Gus Logue

  • 🏈 (CFB) Tennessee Volunteers. After their 31-17 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs this weekend, the Vols no longer control their destiny in the hunt for the SEC Championship game. Quarterback Nico Iamaleava continues to disappoint and drag down the offense despite the emergence of RB Dylan Sampson (101 yards, 1 TD against Georgia). The tiebreakers to make the SEC title game would make your head spin. Regardless of the help Tennessee needs around them, their week 14 matchup against hated rival Vanderbilt looms large. -Trent Osborne

  • 🏀 NBA Viewership. There’s argument that the NBA, in terms of talent, is at an all-time high. The game is as popular as it has ever been and is one that is truly global. To begin the season, though, there has been a shocking decline in the TV ratings. Many have given their beliefs as to why that is, including commissioner Adam Silver, who believes the World Series and the election played a role. You hope this isn’t going to be a trend moving forward. However, not a strong start for the league in terms of viewership. -RJ Saunders

  • ⚾️ Rays SS Wander Franco. Franco was arrested last week in the Dominican Republic after an altercation in which guns were drawn by police. The Rays’ former top prospect is due to stand trial in the D.R. on December 12 in a separate case involving sexual abuse among other charges. After signing a 12-year deal in 2021, Franco has become one of the biggest falls from grace in recent memory. -Andrew Gibson
