🏈 Mason Graham at 5. The Jaguars found nine new players in free agency last week, albeit none are defensive linemen. “We’ve got 10 picks in this year's draft,” general manager James Gladstone explained. “If you add a veteran at this point, could be just standing in the way. We're going to allow these rookies to get a chance to get out on the field and help us this coming fall.” Considering Jacksonville did sign two starting-caliber offensive linemen, the team’s biggest need is undoubtedly pass rusher. All signs are pointing toward Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham being the fifth overall pick next month. -Gus Logue
⚾️ Gators junior INF/OF Justin Nadeau. The Bartram Trail High School product hit his first home run as a member of the Gators on Tuesday night in a 16-4 victory over Jacksonville University. The 5th-inning three-run homer had to feel a bit sweeter as it came against his former team. Nadeau was recruited and signed by JU out of high school but left for Florida in the transfer portal after two seasons. In addition to the home run, he also doubled while tallying a season-high four RBI and three runs scored. -Andrew Gibson

🏈 Jaguars WR Parker Washington. There was a general assumption in Jacksonville that Washington would be the team’s de facto slot receiver following the release of Christian Kirk. However, the Jaguars still have Gabe Davis under contract, signed Dyami Brown in free agency, and figure to add a pass-catcher within the first three rounds of the draft as well. Washington’s spot on the roster is not in jeopardy — and he could still see some snaps as a return specialist — but it doesn’t appear that he’ll get significant opportunities in Liam Coen’s 2025 offense. -Gus Logue
⚾️ Marlins win total for 2025. As the start of the season is upon us, Vegas has released their win total projections for MLB. And by no surprise, the Miami Marlins are at the bottom, yet again. Depending on where you look, Vegas projects the Marlins for just over 60 wins. There is always room for a surprise, but this projection likely means Miami is staring at another 100-loss season in 2025. The MLB season officially started this week with the Tokyo series between the Dodgers and Cubs. The rest of baseball will have their Opening Day on March 27. -Andrew Gibson
