  • 🏈College football/video game fans. EA Sports has developed and published College Football 25, the first such game in 11 years since the release of NCAA Football 14 in 2013. Loyal fans never ceased hope that they’d one day return to iconic game modes like ‘Dynasty’ and ‘Road to Glory.’ The game is available now with the purchase of the deluxe edition, and the standard version will be released worldwide on July 19. -Gus Logue

  • 🏀Magic G Jett Howard. It’s no secret that Orlando’s biggest weakness in 2023-24 was their 3-point shooting. The Magic believe they’ve partially solved that problem by signing Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in free agency, but Howard could also be a key piece of Orlando’s outside shooting attack. The 2023 first-rounder has shot 46% from beyond the arc in the Summer League so far. While it remains to be seen how much Howard will be seeing the floor this season, what we’ve seen from him in Vegas has been a real bright spot. -RJ Saunders

  • ⚾️ Auburn P Tanner Bauman. The Jacksonville native was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 9th round of the MLB Draft on Monday. Bauman starred at Atlantic Coast High School, where he earned the 1010 XL Scholar Athlete of the Year award in 2020. The 6-foot-5 left-hander was utilized as both a starter and reliever in college. He began his career at St. John’s River State College and later found success as a transfer at Auburn. -Andrew Gibson

  • 🏈FSU’s allure. Brett McMurphy of The Action Network reported Tuesday that the Seminoles could have a hard time finding a new home. FSU wishes to leave the ACC and join the Big Ten or SEC because of the significant difference in potential earnings from television media deals. However, there are various concerns about adding FSU to either conference, including “no appetite for more expansion” from the Big Ten or SEC and “no congeniality” from the Seminoles. -Gus Logue

  • 🏀Markelle Fultz returning to Orlando. Fultz had a productive stint with the Magic and developed into a solid NBA defender. However, during this past season in Orlando, he saw limited playing time and dealt with some injuries. It’s believed that the Magic have paid the players they want to keep long term, and they are going to continue to develop their youth and give that youth more opportunities this upcoming season. As much as Magic fans would love to see a potential return, other contenders may show interest and offer a bigger role to the former No. 1 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, which would make it hard for Orlando to bring him back. -RJ Saunders

  • ⚾️ Braves 1B Matt Olson. Atlanta simply needs more from Olson. The slugging first baseman is batting a woeful .172 over the last month. He entered the All-Star break on a 2-for-23 slide at the plate. Olson raised expectations for himself by setting the Braves single-season franchise record for home runs with 54 in 2023. -Andrew Gibson
