🏈 Missouri OL Armand Membou. The 20-year-old offensive tackle weighed in at a healthy 332 pounds at last week’s NFL Combine, and even at that weight, he recorded a 4.91-second 40-yard dash, a 34-inch vertical, a 9’ 7” broad jump, and 31 reps on the bench press. (Those are all elite numbers.) Membou had impressive tape against SEC competition, and after putting on a show at the combine, he may not make it out of the top 10 of April’s NFL Draft — or even the top 5. -Gus Logue
🏀 (NBA) Lakers F LeBron James. The Face of the NBA continues to add to his many milestones in Year 22. In Los Angeles’ win over New Orleans on Tuesday, James became the first player in league history to score 50,000 combined points in the regular season and postseason. While nearly every other NBA player who lasted to his late 30s finished at a fraction of his peak powers, James’ game shows no significant signs of decline. The 40-year-old All-Star was named the NBA’s Western Conference Player of the Month after he averaged 29.3 points, 10.5 rebounds, 6.9 assists and 1.2 steals in February, the oldest player to earn the award and his 41st time winning it overall. James and the Lakers have now won seven games in a row and are inching closer to a potentially dominant playoff run. -RJ Saunders
🏀 (CFB) Florida Gators. Todd Golden’s squad got back on track with a massive win over 12th-ranked Texas A&M on Saturday. Despite a poor outing from senior guard Walter Clayton Jr., the Gators were able to dominate the Aggies behind a 25-point game from fellow senior Will Richard. Florida’s hopes for a no. 1 seed in NCAA Tournament are seemingly on the line on Wednesday night as they travel to Tuscaloosa to take on the 7th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. -Trent Osborne
⚾️ Gators freshman RHP Aidan King. The Jacksonville native and Bishop Snyder alum has quickly opened eyes around the country as a freshman. King was just named the SEC Pitcher of the Week after a pair of dominant outings against Stetson and Miami. King held the Hatters and Hurricanes to a .048 batting average against in his two appearances. King is going to become a household name for SEC baseball fans in the coming years. He’s as electric as any freshman arm in the country. -Andrew Gibson

🏈 Michigan CB Will Johnson. The former college national champion had dropped down draft boards in recent months, and it didn’t stop after last week’s NFL Combine. Johnson was once held in the same regard as Travis Hunter as a cornerback prospect, but questions have risen about his work ethic and long-distance speed — so when Johnson skipped the workout portion of the combine, it wasn’t an awful look, but it certainly didn’t help his case, either. The Jaguars are highly unlikely to consider drafting Johnson in the first round despite him being a popular mock fit to Jacksonville not to long ago. -Gus Logue
🏀 (NBA) Dallas Mavericks. A head-scratching last couple of months just went from bad to worse as star guard Kyrie Irving will now be sidelined for the rest of the season with a torn ACL. In addition, if one couldn’t add insult to injury for this squad, Anthony Davis may elect to sit the rest of the year himself. The presence of Irving was the biggest reason the Mavericks felt they could proceed with the controversial Davis-for-Dončić deal, a move that infuriated the Dallas fan base. Now with both out of the lineup, the Mavericks playoff chances may all but be sidelined as well — making the team’s championship window that much smaller. -RJ Saunders
🏀 (CFB) Florida State Seminoles. Unfortunately for any Noles fans out there looking for a pick-me-up following Florida State’s disastrous football season, the basketball team hasn't been any better. FSU has lost eight of their last 11 games, two of which being major blowouts against 11th-ranked Clemson (72-46) and 2nd-ranked Duke (100-65). With legendary head coach Leonard Hamilton retiring at the end of the season, Florida State’s future is as murky as it has been in decades. -Trent Osborne
⚾️ Braves catcher Sean Murphy. Murphy will be sidelined four-to-six weeks with a fractured left rib suffered when he was hit by a pitch on Friday. It’s another bump in the road for the All-Star catcher who missed nearly two months with an oblique injury in 2024. It’s reasonable to expect that Murphy could return to Atlanta’s lineup at any point within the regular season’s first three weeks. His injury could open the door for top prospect Drake Baldwin to make the Braves’ Opening Day roster. -Andrew Gibson
